This is an old length of partly embroidered silk from one of my rummage baskets. It looks like kimono fabric but definitely hasn't been used for a kimono. It might have been used on an obi - or I don't know what. It's wonderfully vibrant and worn and shabby at the same time. (Click on the photos to enlarge)

I have a large selection of old zuan handpainted pre-war kimono designs which I've started to put out in the shop. These come in various sizes and are often on double sheets of paper. These ones that I put out yesterday are single sheets approximately 25cm x 40cm . Most of them are $65.

Happy New Year! I'm open again from today. I had lovely break but of course did some work as well (it's what happens when you live in your shop!) Here a few new things I've put out. I really want to clear the metallic ribbons so they're only $1 each if you can think of a good use for them. They've originally been woven into obi designs but they're not very strong.
