potd - Yatate Inro

I've just put this yatate inro on my website. It's a small bronze ink case that would be paired with a thin brush case and hung from a man's obi with a netsuke. The top compartment has a little wad of cotton and would be filled with ink  to make a portable writing set. It dates from the 19th century and is only 3 or 4 cm long but is very solid and weighty. I love this - but I can't keep everything!

potd - Basket

This is a very elegant basket for fruit or sweets that probably dates from the early  20th century. It's signed 巧昭斎  (Koshosai?) but I haven't  find out any information about him yet.

Potd - Vintage Happi

This is old faded  happi dates  from early-mid last century. It's partly machine stitched and partly hand-stitched. This was a worker's jacket and  has the business logo Yamatsune on the back and the family name Hasegawa on the collar. It has a couple of small patches on the front to add some character.
