potd - Hikite
I do mean to post more often but the days slide by! We've had some antique hikite in the shop for a long time these are the last three. Hikite are door handles for sliding fusuma doors.

potd - Life Paper Company
I've started stocking a small selection of writing paper and notebooks from the Life Stationery Company. The company began in Tokyo in 1946 and still uses the same classic designs. I've even got typewriter paper - I couldn't resist! I might not tempt anyone to bring out their old Underwood but maybe the art of the handwritten letter isn't completely dead (!?) and the notebooks are bound by hand and beautiful quality. I love these.
