Garage Sale trail

This  Saturday is the national Garage Sale Trail.  www.garagesaletrail.com.au  We'll be open from 8am with bargains in our sale out the front and lots of discounts in the shop as well.  If you're in the Hobart area I hope you can come.
It's the nature of  our business that we end up with all sorts of stuff that isn't always suitable for the shop - or is damaged, unsold or just very cheap. I'm spending today sorting everything out ... from kimonos and obis to bric a brac, threads and (somehow) teddy bears...

2015 Shop Hop

I'm really happy to be part of the Southern Patchwork Shop Hop once again this year from 30th October to 14th November. Spend $10 at each shop and you receive a gift bag and go into the draw for one of five prize packs. It's a good chance to see what's available locally and support small family businesses. And it's fun! You can sign up at any of the shops. There are places left on the bus if you'd like to do the grand tour in one day on Saturday 7th Nov leaving New Town at 9am. Contact me or any of the shops for details.
Participating shops are Frangipani in Sandy Bay , Easy Sew in the city, Patchwork Cafe in New Norfolk, Timeless Designs in Huonville - and us at Kingston Beach
.

potd - Sashiko Zokin

I've just put out a  big bundle of hand-stitched zokin cleaning cloths made from old cotton remnants, probably from the middle of the last century but unused.   A bit boro.
